Overview
The Intuit MailChimp integration enables email delivery from AppVentory using a configured domain and sender email through MailChimp’s infrastructure. This improves brand consistency, increases deliverability rates, and allows full control over outbound email communications. Only one email delivery integration can be active in AppEntry at any given time. Any existing integration must be deactivated before enabling Intuit MailChimp.
Step by Step Integration Process
1. Deactivate Existing Integration
In the Email Configuration section of AppVentory, deactivate any active email delivery service, such as SendGrid. AppVentory supports only one active integration at a time.
2. Connect Intuit MailChimp
Select "Connect Now" under Intuit MailChimp in AppVentory. The system will prompt for a MailChimp API key.
3. Obtain MailChimp API Key
- Access the MailChimp, Signup | Mailchimp page and log in using preferred credentials. From the MailChimp homepage, search for API and locate the option to create an API key or a Mandrill API key.
- For Mandrill, log in using MailChimp credentials, open the Mandrill dashboard, navigate to Settings, and create a new API key. Copy the generated key.
4. Configure Intuit MailChimp in AppVentory
Paste the copied API key into the API Key field in AppVentory. Enter the required details:
- From Email: Email address used for sending.
- From Name: Sender name displayed in inboxes.
Verify the API key and activate the integration.
5. Manage Settings
Use the Customization icon in AppVentory to update the From Email, From Name, re-verify the API key, or deactivate the integration when required.
Integrations Outcomes in AppVentory
When Intuit Mailchimp integration is active:
- All emails generated in AppVentory are delivered using the configured From Email and From Name via MailChimp.
- In Campaigns, the From Email field automatically reflects the Intuit MailChimp configuration, ensuring consistent branding and delivery through MailChimp’s network.
