Record what happened at renewal

Capture the new terms and make the saving visible.

What you get

A saving on the record, and a head start on next year.

Steps

  1. Open the app from Apps.
  2. On Overview, update the subscription — new price, billing frequency, renewal date.
  3. If you agreed a contract, add it on Contracts: start and end dates, licensing and pricing model, and upload the document.
  4. If the renewal closed a savings opportunity — a payment-cycle switch, a seat reduction, a consolidation — mark it resolved under Cost Savings so it counts towards Realised Savings.
  5. Close the task you created when you set the alert.

Why the resolve step matters

Potential savings only become realised savings when you say so. Skip it and the work you did is invisible on every dashboard and every report — including the one that justifies the routine.

A line for next time

A short note on the app — what you asked for, what the vendor offered, what you settled on. Twelve months from now it is the most useful thing on the page.

What the trend looks like a year on

Spend per user down, renewal dates all known, and a realised-savings figure that grew every quarter. That is the evidence the routine pays for itself — and for an advisor, the number that renews the engagement.
