Practice CRM integrations
Understand how AppVentory's Practice CRM connections bring client records into the advisor workflow, including the current Xero Practice Manager integration.
What you get
A reference for the CRM integration category in the Advisor / Practice experience.
CRM integrations are secondary workflow integrations: they help bring client records into AppVentory so advisors can move into onboarding, portfolio review and client-facing work. They are not a source of software spend, app usage or the client's accounting ledger.
The current live CRM connection is Xero Practice Manager (XPM). HubSpot and Salesforce may appear in the Integrations screen as Coming Soon and should not be treated as available until released.
Before you start
You need:
- Access to the Advisor / Practice experience in AppVentory
- An active Xero Practice Manager account
- Xero credentials with permission to authorise the connection
XPM handles your practice operations. AppVentory uses the connection for client data — it does not replace XPM.
Connect Xero Practice Manager
- Go to Integrations.
- Open the CRM section and choose Xero Practice Manager.
- Select Connect Now.
- Sign in with your registered Xero credentials and approve the requested access.
- Return to AppVentory and confirm that the integration shows as Active.
You can review connection information and sync activity from the integration's Overview, Sync History and Activities areas.
What comes across
The integration is designed to bring client records and contact information into AppVentory's client management workflow.
That gives you a faster starting point for:
- Building your AppVentory client list
- Onboarding selected clients
- Running campaigns or outreach from the client information available in AppVentory
- Moving from a client record into app, spend and advisory analysis
What does not come across
The XPM connection is not a full practice-management sync. AppVentory does not use it to import or manage:
- Jobs and tasks
- Time entries
- Practice invoicing
- The client's Xero accounting ledger
If you want software spend from a client's Xero ledger, use the separate accounting integration.
AppVentory also does not write changes back into XPM.
Other ways to add clients
XPM is one route into your portfolio. Depending on the client and your workflow, you can also add clients manually, use bulk upload, or use self-onboarding.
What you've unlocked
Your client records can now become the starting point for portfolio-level work in AppVentory rather than another list your team has to maintain separately.
