Managing / reconnecting integrations
Check connection health, reconnect a source and confirm the expected data has caught up.
What you get
A practical way to manage an existing connection, recognise when it has stopped syncing, reconnect it and confirm the missing data has caught up.
Why connections drop
Ordinary reasons: a password changed at the other end, an access grant expired, someone removed the app in the accounting platform or identity provider. AppVentory notifies you, and the connection stops showing as active under Integrations.
Steps
- Go to Integrations and check the connection status and last sync information.
- Reconnect or re-authorise the integration if the connection is inactive or its access has expired.
- Use the sync or re-sync control available for that specific connector. Accounting integrations that manage multiple organisations may expose Re-Sync Active Organizations; other connectors use their own sync behaviour.
- Check the destination data after the sync. For accounting, compare the latest Spend Overview transactions with the source. For identity providers, check that the expected users and app relationships have returned.
What a gap looks like
A month with unusually low spend, or people missing from Organization → Users. After re-syncing, confirm the dip has filled before you read anything into it.
The mistake to avoid
A dropped connection looks exactly like a saving. If spend fell and you did not do anything to make it fall, check here first — before the number goes into a report or a conversation.
If it keeps dropping
Check whether the connected account still has the permissions required by that provider. If the problem repeats after re-authorising, capture the connector name, last successful sync and any error shown before escalating it.
