Is it safe to connect my accounting system?

Understand what AppVentory reads and what it does not change.

What you get

A straight answer to the question that decides whether the connection happens — for you, or for a client asking you.

What AppVentory reads

Transactions: vendor, description, date, amount and chart of accounts. That is what makes your app list and your spend figures.

It reads. It does not post entries, change records or alter anything in your accounting system. Your ledger stays the source of truth.

How the connection is made

You authorise it on your accounting platform's own site and grant access there. AppVentory never asks for your accounting password, and you can withdraw the access from your platform whenever you choose.

How it is protected

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to encryption keys is restricted. The platform runs on cloud infrastructure with network segmentation, firewalling and zero-trust access controls, with multi-factor authentication on administrative access and independent penetration testing.

The controls behind each of those statements are listed on the Coachbar Trust Vault at trust.coachbar.io — AppVentory is a Coachbar product, which is why the documentation sits there.

Connecting to a client's system

You request access; your client approves it from their side. They grant it, and they can withdraw it. Consent is theirs throughout.
