How renewals get onto your calendar

Understand where renewal dates come from and keep the subscriptions that need attention visible before the commitment date.

What you get

A clearer view of upcoming software commitments so you can review the important ones before the renewal date rather than discovering them after the fact.

Where dates come from

Three sources feed Renewals: subscription data AppVentory reads from your spend, contracts you record on an app's Contracts tab, and dates you add by hand. Anything without a date sits in Needs Review until you supply one.

Reading the screen

Go to RenewalsActive Renewals. Use the summary and the list to identify which renewals need attention first, then sort by date and cost context.

The columns that matter:

  • Renewal Date — Your deadline to negotiate
  • Renewal Price and Billing Cycle — What you are about to pay, and how often
  • Priority — The product's ranking of urgency
  • Active Users and Cost/User — Useful context for licence and cost review

The habit

Once a month, sort by date and review the next 90 days. Prioritise high-spend, business-critical or poorly understood subscriptions rather than assuming every renewal needs the same level of work.

What you've unlocked

You now have a forward-looking renewal list rather than a set of dates scattered across app records.
