What you get

One place to settle what a word on screen actually means. Plain meaning first, the product's label second.

Money

Potential savings — the annual value of every open opportunity AppVentory has found and you have not yet acted on.

Realised savings — savings you have confirmed. Aggregated from four categories once you mark each one resolved: overlapping apps, off-boarding leakage, spend anomalies and payment optimisation. It only grows when you tell it to.

Cost per user — an app's annual cost divided by its active users. The number vendors find hardest to defend.

Forecast app spend — the next twelve months, projected from your previous spend patterns. An estimate for budgeting, not a commitment.

App on Charge — software you buy centrally and bill on to clients with a margin.

Spend states

Every transaction on Spend Overview is in one of four:

Mapped — matched to an app and counting. Needs Review — AppVentory has suggested an app and wants you to confirm. Unmapped — no match found; your non-software costs live here permanently. Archived — deliberately excluded from totals.

App states

In-Use — confirmed and counting. Discovered — found, not yet confirmed. Inactive — retired, history kept.

Usage

Browser-verified — usage measured through the Chrome extension: which apps people open and for how long. The only source of use as opposed to access.

Adoption rate — the share of an app's users showing meaningful activity.

Trust badge — a confidence marker on usage figures. Read it as how much of the organisation this figure covers.

Flags and triage

Problematic Apps — apps that have crossed one of your five thresholds. Read it as worth a second look, not as a verdict.

Priority on renewals, and the Needs Attention / Renewals to Act On / High Impact counts — the product's ranking of renewal urgency, weighing date, cost and users. Use them to order the list, not to skip the reading.

Risk Level on a client — High or Low, reflecting the risky-app picture in their stack.

The word that means five things

Needs Review appears across the product with different meanings: unconfirmed spend suggestions, apps missing renewal data, open savings opportunities, flagged apps, and inbound enrolment requests. This knowledge base always says which.
