Find apps worth a second look
Use Problematic Apps as a review queue for applications that cross the thresholds configured for your account.
What you get
A standing shortlist of applications that have crossed one of the review rules configured for your account. The product calls this Problematic Apps; the useful way to read it is worth a second look.
The five rules
An app is flagged when it breaks any of these, each with a threshold you control:
- Annual price increase — A bill that rose past your percentage
- Cost per user — A seat price past your limit
- User rating — A survey score below your threshold
- Non-cloud app — Installed software that resists tracking
- Compliance and security — A vendor holding at most one of GDPR, SOC 2 or ISO
The rule that fired tells you why the app appeared in the queue; it does not by itself tell you what action to take.
Steps
- Go to Apps → Problematic Apps. Needs Review holds the open flags.
- Read the Problem Identified column — it names the rule that fired.
- Open the app and check the number behind it on its Overview or Users tab.
- Act, or resolve the flag if it is expected.

Setting your own thresholds
Where Problematic App Rules are available in Settings, use thresholds that fit the size and risk tolerance of the organisation you are reviewing. Avoid thresholds so loose that almost every app becomes a flag.
A flag is a prompt to look, not a verdict.
What you've unlocked
You now have a repeatable review queue instead of relying on someone to notice a cost or risk manually.
