Accounting integrations
Understand which accounting connections are available and what financial data they contribute to AppVentory.
What you get
A reference for the accounting side of AppVentory's data model.
What accounting integrations contribute
Accounting connections bring relevant financial data into AppVentory so software-related costs can be reviewed, matched to applications and analysed in Spend Overview.
Depending on the platform and account scope, they can contribute:
- Organisations or entities available to the connected account
- Expense / spend transactions
- Software-related vendors that can be matched to applications
- Accounting categories or chart-of-account context used during setup or classification
Accounting data is one half of AppVentory's core discovery picture: it answers what the organisation is paying for.
Available accounting connectors
The current Integrations screen shows Xero, QuickBooks, FreshBooks and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as connectable accounting providers.
Other accounting connectors may appear as Coming Soon. A Coming Soon card is informational only until Product makes it available.
Important boundaries
Accounting connections are read-only imports into AppVentory. AppVentory does not post journals, create transactions or replace the accounting platform as the system of record.
Imported transactions can still require mapping or review before the spend is reliably attached to the correct application.
What you've unlocked
You know what the accounting integration family contributes and why it is central to spend visibility.
